How it works


How do I create a listing?

Listing an item is very easy and intuitive. Once you are signed in, click on the yellow (+Post a new listing) icon at the top right and follow the prompts. 

How do I know what size to list my clothes in?

For relevant sizing, please refer to our Global Size Guide available for download from here: Global Size Guide 

How do I mark an item as sold?

Once your item has been sold, simply view your listings, click on the item you wish to close then close the listing.

Can I edit my listing once it is live?

Yes, at any point you are able to edit your listing. Mouse over the icon of your initials or image on the top right, then view ‘My Listings’ and edit.

How long is my listing on the site for?

Listings remain live for 6 weeks or until you mark them closed (sold) or delete them.

User Account Details:

What should my username be?  What will my display name be?

It is best to be transparent with your username. We would always recommend using your first name and last name.

Can I change my username or display name?

Yes, if you go to view your profile from top right icon, by changing your first name and last name details on this page, your profile name will change. If you have a display name, you will be able to edit it from this page.

Can I cancel my account/delete my profile?

Yes, certainly. Click on your profile, click edit and find the Permanently Delete button.

Who can see my personal details?

No one, the only details that are shared are your username and location. For a full understanding of data collected and used on the Community Tradelink Website, please refer to our Privacy Policy

Can I turn off emails from Tradelink?

Yes, you have control of the notifications you receive from Tradelink. Hover over your profile image, click on settings then Notifications. 

Buying & Selling:

How do I buy an item?

Buying an item is as easy as simply clicking on the Buy icon when you are viewing a listing. Be sure to put a message through to the seller for quick and easy payment arrangements. All financial transactions happen offline from and are between the buyer and seller.

What can I sell on here? 

Items that can be sold on here are new or good/excellent condition products only.

What can’t I sell?

  • Firearms
  • Alcohol
  • Pets & Animals

What books are approved on Community Tradelink?

  • Non-fiction publications on animals, world wars, political leaders, natural disasters, geography and OneSchool study books
  • Cooking and lifestyle books
  • Music books
  • Lounge books
  • Community publications
  • Children’s picture books for ages 0-5 years.

Any publications that are fiction or considered to be novels are not to be listed and such listings will be deleted.

Community Tradelink also have the right to remove books from within the approved categories if they are deemed unsuitable.

Can I advertise services on this site?

Yes, you are free to add services on this site under the Services section.

How do I pay for the items I buy?

This is to be worked out between the buyer and the seller directly. Options we recommend are, PayPal, Stripe or direct debit.

How does the freight work?

You can list the item including or excluding postage in the cost. If it’s excluding, use the Postage field to state what the cost will be or whether you’ll determine the cost based on the buyer’s location.

Can I contact the seller before I buy the item?

Certainly, you are able to message them about the listing.
